About MGUS and Smouldering Multiple Myeloma Wednesday, July 14, 2021 4:00 – 5:00 pm EST Register Now! Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significant (MGUS), smouldering multiple myeloma (SMM) and active multiple myeloma are a group of conditions and diseases that fall under the category of plasma cell disorders. As the name suggests, plasma cell disorders affect plasma cells – a type of white blood cell (WBC) produced in the bone marrow. MGUS is the earliest state of myeloma and is often referred to as a pre-cursor condition. SMM is the intermediate state between MGUS and active myeloma. This InfoWebinar will discuss MGUS, SMM, and research advances in both conditions.
